Just like any other points of interest, you can click on any of these to get the a summary, which includes things like related Web sites, phone numbers, hours of operation, photos and user reviews. In Google Earth (Google’s globe software) this layer of information is something you can turn on and off, however for Maps, Google has decided simply to bake it in  In 2007, Radiohead sent a shock-wave around the music industry when it released its album In Rainbows online, letting the purchaser set the price they wanted to pay for it. Some hailed it as the future of music distribution , others thought it would be a total failure.  Glide OS 3.0 , by TransMedia, is a popular mobile and web operating system that comes complete with applications and automatic file and application compatibility across devices. Their newest app, Glide Engage , is a mobile and web microblogging and collaboration tool that launches today and supports 1,400 character posts (not 140), file and media sharing, and distribution options to simultaneously post on Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter. With Glide Engage, users can can consume media, bookmark links, send files, share photos and videos, and post updates of up to 1,400 characters in length  Features that Google brought to its developer preview version of Chrome– themes , a revamped new-tab page , a tweaked Omnibox for searching and entering Web addresses, and support for HTML 5 video–have now arrived on the browser’s better tested beta version intended for broader use. Individually, these features in Chrome 3.0.195.4 (download) are niceties. Collectively, they show Google is steadily moving ahead with its browser project, which was ambitious even before Chrome OS arrived on the scene |
